Students at Helen Tyson Middle School celebrated El Dia de Muertos in the commons through learning more about the holiday. Victor Meza, sixth grade social studies teacher, organized the celebration where teams were given a topic to discuss with those who visited their desk. Meza's students also set up an "ofrenda" for students' loved ones who have passed. What a creative way to learn more about the holiday! #SpringdaleFamily

Don Tyson School of Innovation held their very first Hispanic Heritage and Culture Fashion Show on November 1, El Dia de los Muertos. Students showcased traditional attire, quinceñera dresses, and listened to a "banda" play during the beginning of the performance. Special guest and fashion designer, Raul Torres, presented his recycled dress and spoke about the importance of clothing sustainability. Thank you! - Hispanic Heritage is celebrated every year from September 15th to October 15th. #SpringdaleFamily
