Four Don Tyson School of Innovation and two Har-Ber High School seniors earned University of Arkansas Honors College Endowment Fellowships, fulling pay for four-year degrees at the Fayetteville university.
University of Arkansas Honors College Endowment Fellowships are the university’s most prestigious and competitive financial awards for incoming freshmen. These fellowships generally provide $80,000 over four years, which typically covers the full cost of tuition, room and board, and books.
The core fellowships are:
Honors College Fellowship: Open to all academic majors; the most common fellowship awarded with a $20,000 annual award
Bodenhamer Fellowship: Open to all majors; emphasizes leadership and character with a $20,000 annual award
Sturgis Fellowship: Limited to majors within the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences with a $20,000 annual award
Natural State Fellowship: For Arkansas residents with financial need, first-gen status or from underrepresented areas with a $20,000 annual award
Boyer Fellowship: Limited to Walton College of Business majors with a $20,500 annual award
Competition for the awards is extremely competitive, usually granted to the top 1–2% of the applicant pool. The selection committee looks beyond just student test scores, seeking seniors who demonstrate leadership and service, have intellectual curiosity and creative pursuits and have a strong record of honors or AP/IB-level coursework.
